Since the product is designed to appeal to the home recording novice, a more thorough explanation of how to actually interface with your PC would have been very helpful. The manual only stated the obvious. It took me three or four hours of trial and error and research to identify such terms as ASIO, latency, CODEC, and VST Host. The driver software had good instructions but the manual should identify what to input in the settings. I still can't determine what the latency rate actually is supposed to be. I had poor success with all of the recording software programs that were linked from the Behringer web site, which either had no explanation of how to use them or made no sense at all from the screen view. I finally stumbled across recording software while searching for a program to convert WAV to WMA or mp3 so that I could record to CD. I am, however, very pleased with the UCA202 device itself. It does exactly what is supposed to do at a reasonable cost
